Before your first wax please avoid tanning, retinol, tretinoin, and most acne products as they thin the skin and can cause tearing and burns during the wax.
Exfoliate and moisturize the area well to help any hair trapped below the surface come up during the wax.

The first time is the worst, so if you get it done every 4-6 weeks the hair stays thin and the pain lessens.
Some areas of the body are more sensitive than others. Intimate areas, lower legs and toes are known to be the most uncomfortable but your Aesthetician is going to make sure it is as quick and comfortable as possible.

After waxing we recommend avoiding hot showers, baths or hot tubs for 24 hours. Keep the skin moisturized and avoid heavily scented products. Using aloe or cortizone products can soothe and reduce redness.

Every time you wax the hair grows back thinner and weaker, making future waxes less painful! Exfoliating regularly prevents hair from becoming ingrown.

It depends on how fast your hair is growing but on average we usually recommend getting waxed every 4 weeks. This is usually the right amount of time to have the hair at the right length, and will also allow the skin to be less sensitive to treatments.

You may get bikini services during your cycle, we do require a tampon or menstrual cup be worn. Waxing during your cycle may make the area more sensitive than normal.
